The KIAC coaches have selected Indiana University East as the top men's cross country team, conference officials announced Thursday, August 14th. They collected 56 points in the poll including three first place votes. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own team. Conference newcomer University of Rio Grande was selected in the second position with 53 points and four first place votes. Asbury University is in the third spot with 49 points and one first place vote. Brescia University is fourth with 48 points and one first place vote. Point Park is fifth with 39 points. They are followed in the poll by Indiana University Kokomo (30 points), Cincinnati Christian University (23 points), Carlow University (14 points) and Alice Lloyd College (12 points). The 2014 cross country season will begin in late August and will conclude with the KIAC Championship on November 8th.
