The Cougar family welcomed Zach Hall as assistant baseball coach for the 2017-2018 inaugural season.
During both the 2016-2017 and 2015-2016 seasons, Hall was a volunteer assistant coach for the University of Indianapolis, where he primarily worked with the pitching staff. His main priority was to help develop pitchers by improving their mechanics and mental approach to the game while helping to run practices and games.
Hall was previously the head coach and manager of the Wild in the Show-Me Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 2016. There he was responsible for recruiting an entire 30-man roster and delegating game-day duties and responsibilities.
In 2015, Hall coached the 15-year old baseball team, the St. Louis Pirates. In addition to leading the team, he also gave personal lessons to players.
Hall has an extensive playing career as well, pitching for Austin Peay State University from 2013-2015. Hall helped his team to win the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament in 2013 and NCAA Regional Runner-Up.
In 2014, he graduated with a major in Health and Human Performance and minor in Political Science. In 2016, Hall graduated from Austin Peay with a masters in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Health Administration.
