South Bend, Ind. - Indiana University Kokomo women's volleyball team continued its long stretch of road matches traveling to Indiana University South Bend.  The Cougars lost in straight sets (18-25, 22-25, 19-25) to the Titans.

"It was a disappointing loss because although we jumped out to early leads in the first two games, we could not sustain our drives," said Coach Snoddy. "The coaches are going to spend the weekend studying game tapes and we will have three days to get ready for our home contest with IU Northwest.''

The Cougars were led on offensive by Rachel Allen (Lizton, Tri-West H.S.) with 8 kills and Megan Riley (New Palstine, New Palstine H.S.) with 9 kills.  Sophomore libero Lael Burrus (Denver/North Miami H.S.) pitched in 14 digs on the night and freshman Courtney Hanson (Winamac/Pioneer H.S.) led the team with 18 digs on the defensive end and had 17 assists.

The Cougars (3-13) return home to Maple Crest Middle School to face Indiana University Northwest on Thursday at 7pm.
